A beautiful short film about some of the people who have made their life around Ben Nevis in Fort William, Lochaber.  Keep your eyes peeled for lovely Postie “a couple of tiddlers for you” Jim!

Made by Ezra Byrne & Katherine Owen of Newport Film School.

There are plenty facilities nearby Glen Nevis and Ben Nevis including hostelscamp sites and Bed & Breakfasts to rest your arching bones, all of which are only minutes from the town centre of Fort William.  If you plan to stay in Fort William itself then check out our list of Fort William Hotels nearby Ben Nevis.

What a beautiful wee movie, I love The Ben and have now been to the summit 6 times, it was good to see other people talk about the Ben as I do , if it gets a hold of you it wont let go, I yearn to be there now, I would love to make Fort william my home so that I could see the Ben everyday :(

you are so right. I have been up from Kent 3 times a year for the past couple of years volunteering on the Ben with “Friends of Nevis” and it definitely is an addictive place that I crave to come back to. Beautiful film of the most beautiful place.

I really enjoyed this film. I was lucky enough to live in Fort William as a child and spent lots of my time in Glen Nevis, on the Ben and in the surrounding area. This film brought back lots of memories for me, it really is a wonderful part of the world and I never get tired of seeing it.

Loved this and especially seeing an old friend of mine running up that hill and still fit as a fiddle! Big hi to Jim the Postie x

What a lovely film, I found it very moving and thought it was beautifully filmed. What made it more special is that Jim (elite fell runner) is my cousin. It was so nice to see him looking so well and relaxed. I love the outdoors too, must be in our genes :P , only wish I was fit as Jim. Thank you :)
